Morsalkım: A 16-Year Grocer Goes Digital
A web store, mobile app and vendor panel for Morsalkım, a family grocer trading in Van for 16 years, built to take the same order volume online without losing regulars.
Problem
Morsalkım had run a physical grocery in Van for 16 years, with regulars who mostly ordered by phone for same-day delivery. The owner wanted a web store and a delivery app, but was wary that a generic marketplace template would lose the ordering flexibility customers were used to, like swapping an item or adjusting a weight-based price.
Grocery pricing also has to support per-item and per-kilogram units in the same cart, and most off-the-shelf storefronts do not handle that combination well.
Solution
We built a web storefront, a customer mobile app, and a separate vendor panel for stock, pricing and the daily order flow. The cart handles mixed per-item and per-kilogram pricing, and the vendor panel lets staff adjust weight-based items before dispatch, the same flexibility phone orders always had.
- Web storefront and customer mobile app
- Vendor panel for stock, pricing and order management
- Mixed per-item and per-kilogram cart pricing
- Same-day delivery scheduling
Result
Morsalkım now takes orders through the web and mobile app alongside its phone line. The vendor panel gives staff the same order-adjustment flexibility they had in person, and the business added a new channel without losing its 16 years of regulars.
