FluenSync: Live Translation in 14+ Languages, Under 700 ms

FluenSync needed a translation product built for live conversation, not recorded audio or text chat. Existing speech-translation tools added enough lag that a call felt like a satellite phone connection, and most of them required every participant to install an app and create an account before joining.

The product had to feel just as fluid on a laptop browser as on a phone. A typical call mixes a host on desktop with a guest joining from mobile at the last minute.

We built the audio pipeline on WebRTC for capture and transport, with a translation service that streams partial results instead of waiting for a full sentence. A guest opens a room link in the browser and is talking within seconds, no install, no account. The host and any registered users get native iOS and Android apps for longer sessions.
